I'm Julia! An independent designer who believes the best design begins with understanding.

"Design in its purest sense is research mixed with imagination. Both are useful, but best when combined, and next to useless when divorced from each other"
– Stephen Sagmeister
A Little About Me
At first, I went into design because I loved art in high school, but after getting my first taste of design education, I became fascinated by solving complex problems through visual communication. Design truly is my dream career.
I graduated from Kent State University in May 2023 with a B.A. in Visual Communication Design and double minors in User Experience Design and Entrepreneurship (an amazing design program, I must say).
Throughout university, I completed two internships while working part-time as a graphic designer. Near the end of my degree, I began freelancing and accepted my first full-time design position just one month after graduating.
I continued freelancing for the companies I had interned with while building relationships with new clients alongside my full-time role. A few years later, after reaching an agreement with my employer to continue supporting them as a freelance designer, I made the jump into freelancing full-time.
Since then, I've had the opportunity to work across a wide range of industries. I've created everything from visual identity systems and product design to stadium graphics, websites, motion graphics, and marketing campaigns.
